The WINTER Foundation Programme

The Network Foundation Programme is offered in four types of schedule according to the student’s particular requirements.

Our accumulated experience in foundation programmes and our good knowledge of the Greek student needs, led us to design a new structure for our foundation course. This new structure is purely for the benefit of the students and ensures that each one of them has obtained all those study habits and practical skills that a Greek highschool graduate needs to be considered as a British University student; even from the beginning of his/her foundation year.

The NEW structure includes two PHASESPhase 1 lasts for 4 weeks and consists of three main courses: a) Academic English and Grammar Review, b) Computing and c) Study Skills. The purpose of Phase 1 is to introduce the students to the British educational system, review their previously acquired English language skills and equip them with the necessary basic computing skills in order to support them in their studies from then on.

Phase 2 lasts for 27 weeks and offers the specialised courses (compulsory and optional) relevant to each student’s academic direction and follows the Stream System as described later in this Manual.
