Grading Policy

The assessment of students is based on:

• their performance during the whole programme
• their participation in class
• their overall student profile and academic readiness
• their competence during seminar sessions
• the quality of their Lab Reports
• the standard of their Projects and/or Essays
• the written Examinations after the first and second Terms, namely the Mid-Term and Final Examinations

Grading Policy

Grading is given in percentages. To simplify the assessment of our students by UCAS and the Universities, separate grades are awarded for each of the subjects studied. The Total Grade for each subject is calculated based on the following (Continuous Assessment and Written Examinations):

• Class Participation – Regular Quizzes
• Research Sessions and Reports
• Projects and Essays
• Mid-Term Examinations
